Resources for AVO Demo 2005

Data collections

Also see AstroGrid InstalledDatacenters - some catalogues may also be available via these.

See AVO pages for any changes to requirements: Galaxies Stars

Please correct, add more information and status!

NB If data are already readily available in AVO Aladin and related tools I have not given full details. However data set size should be filled in where relevant e.g. for cross-matching.

ELAIS European Large-Area ISO Survey and supporting data Merged catalogue; Read Me for merged catalogue - however this is incomplete, e.g. does not seem to have flux density units. More references Optical, IR, radio 5 fields covering up to ~100 deg^2 total, we use N1 (& N2?) C C   J/MNRAS/351/1290/catalog Mark A has script to convert to physical units in SpecView ascii table format; need to consider more general solutions (build up library of photometric conversions; have generic band options for less accurate conversion if exact response not coded yet)
X-ray data covering ELAIS region. Images: LEDAS, XMM at ESAC. X-ray ELAIS C, I   C ascii
SWIRE Spitzer Wide-area Infrared Extragalactic Survey (also INT-WFS). Enhanced data products Optical Ug'i'r'Z (at 0.36, 0.52, 0.67, 0.79, 0.91 um); IR IRAC (at 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, 8.0 um), MIPS (at 24, 70, 160 um) ELAIS (etc.) I, C   I: IRAC images 16 tiles each 4 wavebands (only mosaic images essential),fits in tar files; MIPS fits in tar files, INT-WFS 16 tiles, 5 wavebands, fits. 3T ascii (optical+IRAC+25 um; 70 um; 160 um) Catalogues now in Vizier Surace+ 2004 II/255 cutouts - see SWIRE entries at AgDemoDec2004Extragalactic for IDHA trees also Original images up to 10^8 pixel, cutouts <(2000x2000)
INT-WFS Isaac Newton Telescope Wide Field Survey - ELAIS region IntWfsDataModel at CASU; this link in MEFs, ZPN format but also as above in ELAIS format (single reprojected FITS files, merged catalog) Optical ELAIS N1 N2 I, C     CASU data (incl. single FITS files in ZPN format but not? ELAIS enhanced products) via AstroGrid PAL AVO-Aladin may soon cope with ZPN
HST   (UV), Optical, IR Pointed obs. I, S   FITS SOAP+CGI/IDHA HST associations service for WFPC2 hosted by ST-ECF, images stored at CADC, access also through Aladin Missions for single images incl. NICMOS and via VOSpec etc. for spectra
IUE International Ultraviolet Explorer   UV   S     via AVO-Aladin/VOSpec
SINGS Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxies Survey Enhanced data products IR Pointed obs I, S   I Fits, S ascii
Other Spitzer data may cover Stars case objects e.g. Galactic FLS IR I   fits in zip files
ISO   IR Pointed; Gal plane etc. I, S, some C   Fits, C VOTable Via AVO-Aladin, VOSpec, SpecView ; ISOGAL catalogue II/243
2MASS   IR   I, C     I, C via AVO-Aladin, Vizier. C also via AstroGrid ROE PAL
IRAS Infra-Red Astronomical Satellite also CGPS Galactic plane multi-band data IR Survey I, C     Via AVO-ALadin etc,
