Agenda
update on RAL datasets
actions from previous telecon
Minutes and actions
STEREO datasets: MW is liaising with Kevin about setting up a DSA in front of EUVI, HI1, HI2, COR1, COR2 (in this order). ACTION MW: setup these DSAs and liaise with SD before registering them, so that registry entries are scientist-friendly. (Note on time coverage: data up to 4 or 5 days ago are available. rsync of NRL data happens every day).
http proxy problem: MW updated the bugzilla bug (see: # 2326). ACTION SD: do a test of the WDC DSA with chunked http enabled so that the time of the test can be forwarded to the RAL IT services: testing will be today at 4:00 pm.
SOHO dataset: The SOHO database at RAL has now been updated and is an exact copy of the Goddard db. Some datasets are not yet complete (LASCO). Action MW: create views for SOHO MDI data (separating magnetogram and white light data) - liaise with SD on registry entries, install DSA on SOHO MDI. Other SOHO datasets will be linked up later on.
Registry curation: UKSSDC datasets that require improving of the registry entries are: TRACE, WDC and CTIP. Action MW: email SD the xml for registry entries of these resources (both registration of cea application and tabular db for the case of DSAs). Action SD: edit the registry entries.
TRACE: The archive is up to 29 July 2006 at present. Action MW: continue update.
CTIP: ACTION SD: work out why CTIP mode B is currently failing (problem with WDC DSA now solved). Email the python workflow to Matthew to have a look.
General AG developments: the beta version of VODesktop is currently being tested by beta testers and will be reviewed at the beginning of March. ACTION ALL - try beta of vodesktop (available at http://beta.astrogrid.org ). Try the Solar examples available on the doc pages under 'Examples of usage of VODesktop'.
ACTION PA: clarify the situation with respect to VOTech funding. Once this is done, ACTION: All at RAL: discuss how AG3 work is going to be organised.
Next telecon: Fri 29th February at 2:00pm.
