JES and Datacenter Report

Week Ending 08/08/2003

This week:

• 1 Datacenter code hand over
  • Some annoying errors (not unexpected - code admin) have soaked up time for JL and Martin Hill.
• 2 Familiarization with COCOON (PJN).
  • JL still at the start stage, which is quite frightening.
• 3 Design for JES. Not done.
• 4 Display Job Monitor Page - initial design finished.
• 5 Installed DB2 under Linux 8. OK but:
  • Wrinkles concerning Java coexistance
  • Bewares for Linux 7 and 9

Next week:

• 1 Refactoring and datacenter handover
  • Need to keep a watchful eye. Possiblysome admin tidy-up (JL)
• 2 Familiarization with COCOON (JL)
  • Initial design for Display Job Run (JL)
• 3 Design for JES; maybe code. (JL)
• 4 Thoughts on Workflow (JL)
• 5 DB2 design day.
• 6 PJN and RP - holiday
• 7 Abstract of a poster for Strasbourg
