• Design decisions:
  • Container -- it is a directory hierarchy, so we have to delete the deleteDirectory method in both MySpaceManager and ServerManager in UML.
  • DataHolder -- each instance has a full-path-file-name which is decided by ServerManager on the fly which is not known by the user to remain the consistent from user view of the file path.
  • DSA is a prime user.
  • UPLOAD use case need to be added (save function will call it).

• Transferring data:
  • GridFTP has both Security and firwall issues -- not using in this itration. But Keith was saying that we can add a security shell at front to open a port like 21...? -- keith could you correct me if I am wrong here please?
  • Using FTP Server and pull rather than push to transfer data. see attached pic.
  • Need to find out from both JobControl and Portal people what they will support? Http? or FTP?
  • We will have to investigate using a FTP server, or httpd sounds like a bad idea.
  • MySpaceServer need to send respond back to MySpaceManager.

• JUnit/Ant -- we have to write our unit test. Use Ant as build and deploy tool.

• weekly code reviews -- CLQ to find out which day to talk to ACD next week.

• Mavern / development repository -- Keith to find out from PetterS how Mavern is integrated with CVS
