Science Project

Automated program to search for and retrieve bright points, based on specific keywords
e.g. search for CDS programs containing keyword 'BP_W_2' in OBS_PROG, combined with EIT data in the same time range
or search more generally e.g. Select * From SOHO_CDS as a where a.OBS_PROG Like 'BP%' --> but this doesn't work due to MSSL not having up-to-date software!

Other ideas:
- program to find all observations of an active region as it crosses the solar disk
- finding all data related to a known CME, so we can use LASCO data too
- solving the coronal heating problem
