Wishlist -

(1) Using GCN automated messages to enable searching of multi-wavelength catalogues with the aim of providing real time information for GRB follow-ups. e.g. images in various wavebands, optical,ir,x-ray,radio,gamma-ray, with 24x24 arcmin field of view highlighting nearest stars and galaxies, looking for possible transient sources. Ideally this information would be made available as a web-page.

- extract source position (RA, Dec) from GCN alert messages

- feed position into Vizier/Aladin catalogues

- bullet useful information - nearby sources, galaxies etc

(2) Extracting timing information for a given source from a variety of databases - particularly important for X-ray sources. Difficulties - different X-ray platforms have different spectral bandpasses. However, tools already exist which determine count-rate conversions from one-instrument to another if the spectral shape is known...

Tool feeds VOEvent RSS messages into MySpace...
