This has also gone under the banner of "Scenarios". Basically what is required here from the home page are canned or semi-canned queries and workflows. The typical one would be a dialogue to generate a cone search. The dialogue would be tailored according to the scenario. Otherwise, the technology is very similar to the Instant Query, with autogeneration of the workflow, submission to JES, polling of the job, and display of the results, excepting the latter would be tailored according to the workflow.

Notes.

• If Instant Query takes significantly long, we can pull Example Operations in to just disply recipes for standard scenarios. Then roll out the real thing later.
• Template workflows would form the basis of Example Operations. File names for query, workflow and results require autogeneration. Suggest that each user has special folders created at installation time in MySpace in order to hold generated queries and workflows and results. Again similar to the Instant Query.
