AstroGrid LeadInvestigators

The AstroGrid project was originally proposed in 2001 by Lead Investigators from seven institutions. The follow-on AstroGrid-2 project expanded the consortium to eleven institutions, and also strengthened the solar side with the inclusion of Ian McCrea. Below is the current list of Lead Investigators.

These individuals take ultimate responsibility for the goals, design, implementation, and finance of the project. In the implementation of the project, the AGLI act in the manner of an Executive Board. They set policy, receive and approve reports from the Programme Manager, ProjectManager and ProjectScientist, and exercise continuing oversight and guidance. The AGLI formally meet every month, mostly by telecon, but are also in regular contact to discuss and resolve issues.
