The schemas are attatched along with an example of their use to create a registry entry for the USNOB (reference star) catalogue. Should be stable for about a week from 2003-08-08! -- AnitaRichards - 08 Aug 2003

Much of the schema content overlaps with the much more thorough schemas produced by Ray Plante and Arnold Rots in the attatchments at the bottom of the IVOA Registry Wp03 page. In the next iteration I will make sure these are referenced/linked or at least that I am consistent with them (where they are consistent with the current RSM - some of the IVOA schemas do need updating themselves). -- AnitaRichards - 01 Aug 2003

content.xsd changed: publisherID is now optional (as per RSMv0.8, previously an error)
nCols is changed to nRecords as per Bob's recommendation
The list of subject keywords is now a namespace, keywords.xsd, so the corresponding elements and references are changed. The keywords are taken from the Vizier list as the shortest available. Ultimately we want a separate more comprehensive international standard namespace of course... -- AnitaRichards - 08 Aug 2003

In the attatchment list below, registry_schema.pl and the files following are for taking a questionnaire registry_provider.txt and using it to fill in registry_template.xml. There are examples of this for usnob. These are incomplete - the perl script does not yet handle the content and service sections.

I would be grateful if anyone wants to comment, in particular if data providers can think of ways to make registry_provider.txt easier and more fool-proof. thanks AnitaRichards - 12 Aug 2003
