Cycle 6 activities

The assignment of staff against the various cycle 6 activities was discussed and agreed as per the assignment by email from NAW to all 20070719.

It was suggested that the staff against task matrix would be useful to have for developers as well for internal group working purposes.

Science Call Support

The staff breakdown was agreed as per the email from NAW 19 Jul 2007. AMSR would like to look at the Hipparcos work, and Silvia would help out on the Panstarrs work.

Silvia will get involved in the voevent work.

Work Update

AMSR:

• CORNISH crossmatch with IPHAS - will try using VO tools.
• In discussion the Task Runner work was noted - see TaskRunner. Where does the new query builder fit into this?

DKW:

• taverna crossmatch work - add to the link from CrossMatch
• Reported on an introduction+tutorial for astroscope/helioscope - to students/staff at ULO. This went down well and they look at this further.

EGS

• IPHAS portal work at http://casu.ast.cam.ac.uk/ag/portal/ - gives simple access to VO services for the IPHAS survey.

SD

• Working on the RAL solar datasets - these will be made available. There are though RAL proxy issues.

New VODesktop suite

The new voexplorer alpha will be out tomorrow - 20 July. DKW to have a look at what will need changing on the documentation.

Discuss and implement changes to docs - next sci team telecon - Thurs 16 Aug 2007 at 14.00.
