Preliminary notes and agenda for VOSpace 1.x session at Beijing.

Current status

Version 1.0 has been submitted as an IVOA working dratf.

Version 1.1 aims to extend the VOSpace-1.0 specification to include links and containers.

Version 2.0 is a longer term project looking at changing the service from a SOAP service to a REST based service. This will be covered in the second VOSpace session as part of the wider discussion on moving from SOAP to REST for other IVOA services.

Agenda

Three presentations (15 min each):

  • Implementing VOSpace 1.x, what works and what don't - DaveMorris
  • ESO lessons learned from implementing VOSpace 1.0 with NGAS backend - PaulHarrison
  • VOSpace 1.x - MatthewGraham

Followed by discussion on changes required for 1.1.
