2005 May 13-16: Jon Loveday, Anthony Smith
NB. Suspected problems with cryostat alignment. May 17 has been re-scheduled as engineering time to hopefully fix this. Image quality has been bottoming out at about 0.7 arcsec.
May 13
Clear all night, seeing around 0.7-0.9 arcsec.
Friday the 13th! Not a good day to start observing!! Numerous instrument problems, including guider freezing, WFCAM hanging, telescope top end settings changing mysteriously, etc. Also, what's with all the GCS MSBs? They are a real pain for the TO who has to reacquire the guide star every minute or so. Why no LAS MSBs?
The second half of the night went much more smoothly, and we successfully observed the following MSBs: 1 DXS, 3 GCS (1 partial), 2 GPS.
Last hour of night used for engineering.

May 14
High cirrus (~50% sky coverage).
Two fields, DXS1 LH01 K02 and K03 do not have reachable guidestars!
No LAS MSBs available due to cirrus.
We are observing PATT U/05A/37 Leo_A and U/05A/2 Abell 957 instead.
DXS1 EN01 available at 0850 UT.
