Meeting Goal:

• to set the direction and targets for WPs in Q3 so as to achieve 70% complete architecture (so that Phase B can be accurately planned and resourced)

Meeting Non-Goals:

• to discuss how targets will be achieved
• to discuss technologies or design approaches

1. Architecture Targets

This agenda is more of a draft proposal for Q3 goals. I've listed what I think we need to do in order to plan and resource Phase B and assigned them to existing WPs. The basis of this is the layer diagram I posted to the wiki:

• Use Cases that cover all AG functionality (A1) .
• Activity Diagrams for key Use Cases (A1) .
• Object Models, Component & Implementation Diagrams (OCI) for all of L3 (A2)
• Spec for VO Interface - assumed to be list of WSDL interfaces (A2)
• 60-80% complete OCI for L2 (A2)
• Draft specs for Service Interface (A2)
• Draft specs for Data Interface (A4)
• OCI for:
  • 80% Data Access (A4)
  • 50% Data Analysis Services (A4)
  • 20% Data Mining Services (A4)
• Research initiated for:
  • Web/Grid Service integration (A3)
  • Grid & Cluster-based data mining (A4)
• Draft designs for L4: Client & Browser-based UI (A9)
• Specify technical approach for product development (A0/Technical group)
• Specify project structure for Phase B (A0)
• Prototype for:
  • User interfaces: Browser & Client (A9)
  • L3: Certification, Authentication, Authorisation (A2)
  • L3: Resource Directory: creation & permissioning of resource (A2)
  • Web service to access existing data set (A5)

2. Risks

Meeting should list, categorise & prioritise risks for Q3. Also assign to people to document and propose how to handle them.
